Is the Wheellator considered a transport chair or a wheelchair?
The fundamental difference between a transport chair and a wheelchair is that wheelchairs are built with large wheels. So that users can propel themselves, while transport chairs have smaller wheels. Transport chairs are therefore intended for people who cannot use manual wheelchairs. This allows users to be pushed from behind by a nurse, for example. The Wheellator, however, has large wheels. You can use it as a transport chair. As well as a wheelchair for short distances. The Wheellator is not intended to replace a wheelchair. The user must still be able to walk independently.
